It was at the start of the last quarter of the year that PartyPoker announced the return of the winter edition of the PartyPoker Championship, one of the firm’s premier poker events.

It will take place between late 2022 and early 2023, kicking off on December 25th and closing on January 17th.

As well as a lot of fun, the festival guarantees over $1 million in prize money throughout the PartyPoker Championship Winter Edition, so the winnings in many cases will be more than just a chance.

PartyPoker Winter Edition 22 Main Event: everything you need to know

PartyPoker festivals are characterized by being some of the most open that can be found at a competitive level. Maintaining a fun and entertaining tone throughout, the championship takes place over several days where attendees can enjoy a variety of games tailored to their stacks and experience levels.

In fact, the PartyPoker Championship Winter Edition welcomes all types of players, and that is one of the keys to this championship: its accessibility. Players of all levels can participate, helping the prizes to be distributed and giving the championship the variety that every poker player is looking for, so they can enjoy games adapted to their level and test their skills at the most suitable table.

The PartyPoker Championship is suitable for all bankrolls. It has entries from $ 5.50, which will undoubtedly be an attraction for the tightest stacks. But the highlight will come with the Main Event of this Winter Edition: the Main Event with $500,000 guaranteed starts the same day of the series, putting the stakes sky high from the first moment.

The championship will also be a treat for PLO fans. There will be several tables for four-card poker fun, and there will be two Pot-Limit Omaha Main Events, both with high and low buy-ins.

For this edition, the structure has been clear: the Main Event takes place on the first day of the event, keeping eager players waiting for the main event, and the rest of Day 1 will be held over the following weeks. In total, six elimination qualifiers with a final Turbo game before Day 2 begins.

Each of the players entering the tournament will receive 500,000 in chips to start with, which they will look to grow over the course of the 15-minute blind levels. Days 1 will close when only 15% of the field remains, and any player who virtually bag & tag their stack will move on to Day 2, which begins on 16 January. Only one re-entry per flight is allowed.

Every player who makes it through to Day 2 will have a minimum bankroll, and those who make it to the final table will fight for the lion’s share of the prize pool. A game that will get everyone’s adrenaline pumping and will kick off on January 17th.

How to qualify for the Main Event for $0.01

Perhaps for some players the buy-in is unaffordable and their stack is not big enough to afford an entry fee of that caliber. As always, PartyPoker offers players who prefer to enter via satellite tournaments, with 24-hour play and buy-ins starting at just 1 cent.

Anyone who manages to finish in the paid places will be able to browse PartyPoker’s extensive satellite tree, with buy-ins of $1,10, $5,50 and $22. These tournaments, in turn, feed into the Main Event satellite, which has no direct buy-in, with play being the only way to guarantee yourself a seat.

Also, in case you’re interested, this year’s PartyPoker Championship Winter Edition maintains the repertoire of Spins tournaments. PartyPoker has long known that not all players have enough time to play multiple satellites. That’s why the Winter Edition will have its own set of Spins for this year’s edition, with cash games and a wide variety of entries.

These spins are fast-paced Sit & Go tournaments. They are known as “winner-takes-all-three-handed” and have a $10 buy-in. For some players, it can be an inexpensive and quick shortcut to a seat in the Main Event. Just keep an eye on the lobby for when the list of special spins is posted and the action begins.
